Why don’t I want to say “no” to chocolate donuts?
Why don’t I want to take vitamins and minerals every day?
Why don’t I want to always eat healthy?
Why don’t I want to work out?
Don’t we all have this life long battle in our hearts and minds? As a kid, we didn’t want to always obey our parents! As a teen the rebellious spirit in us seemed to constantly raise its ugly head. As an adult, we still don’t want to do things that are hard, uncomfortable or inconvient! We have this enemy that is relentlessly harrassing us with “I don’t want to” in an effort to destroy us!
What if it were possible to change our perspective and “want” to do the things we’ve always dreaded? I’m here to tell you it’s possible! I believe the reason we get stuck in the “I don’t want to zone” is because, we are consumed with avoiding any sort of discomfort. In my opinion, the only way we’ll ever be able to enjoy doing what’s outside our comfort zone is to:
1. Crush pride (self-focused) By throwing out negative thoughts and replacing them with truth
2. Getting a bigger vision
3. Experience the results
I’m just like most people, I didn’t want to workout! For a year or more it was a tremendous battle! So I had to do something to motivate me, therefore:
1. I posted pictures all over my workout room of people I wanted to have the energy to help!
2.I posted pictures of the fit body I wanted to have!
3. I posted a picture of Jesus (After all he’s ultimately the reason I’m taking care of this body)!
I’ve also found that when I switch up the workouts with different trainers online, I don’t get bored, and actually look forward to something new! As a result, I’m getting the body I’ve worked for, that is motivation in its self!
So get inspired!
2. Set your goals and do whatever it takes to stay focused on them!
3. Do whatever workouts that you’ll look forward to and enjoy!
You’ve got this! I believe in you! If I can do it, so can you!
