There have been hundreds of amazing people that God has brought in my life. I’ve met them in my office for weeks, months and some times years. I’ve met them restaurants and coffee shops, why? Because I love them! When I look at them, I see all the hopes, dreams and promises God has for them. I’m willing to fight, sacrifice and cry with them as they work through the lies that have held them back.
Some times, no…all the time, I wish I could do it for them. I wish I could give them the desire I have burning in my heart to see them healed and thriving. Often I have to speak words of truth to them that I know hurts, but in love they need to hear it in order to be set free!
I’m writing today to the hundreds I have met and worked with, through heartache and some times unbearable pain. I want to thank you for teaching me how to love. Did I have moments I felt like giving up, of course! But in those moments you taught me just how the Father feels about his kids. He never gives up on us, he never walks away! You have made me more like Christ, who is love. Do I have a long way to go? Sure I do, and the Father has many more, whom he will send, who will rend my heart, but in the end they will know who they are, what they are created for and they will be able to experience this amazing abundant life. As for me, I will grow deeper and deeper in love with humanity and with my Father in heaven.
This picture is of a special girl who changed my life forever. The road we traveled was a long one, but in Christ she made it. She trusted me as I trusted God. We have a crazy bond, that has stood the test of time and miles. Her future is bright and so is mine as she taught me how to love unconditionally and sacrificially.
