People say that; “God moves in mysterious ways, His plans are beyond our understanding.” But when we shed the ego and realize our oneness with the Divine (The Trinity,) their ways make complete sense.
To understand The Divine’s ways, is to know that they teach us according to the level of our understanding/consciousness.
For Example:
When I healed my friend’s stage 4 cancer 5 1/2 years ago, and then someone else tried to take credit for it, my ego was incredibly offended.
That’s when I heard the Divine say; “Enter the Court Room,” (in my mind!)
Then I was instructed to make a list of all the accusations I had against this person (this list served as the enemy’s accusations, that I was agreeing with!)
Once the list was complete, I was told that the guilty person was on the witness stand, the enemy just read off all the accusations, and since I was her Defender, it was my turn to defend her. This was a huge paradigm shift for me, as I had to literally take my mind off of the offense and all the effort of making her guilty, and shift it to empathy and compassion.
This process caused me to realize that; I didn’t really know her, or her intentions, I hadn’t had a conversation with her about it, and it didn’t really matter who took credit, it was really God that guided me, as to how to heal her.
Therefore I forgave her and was able to let it go and be at peace. Essentially the truth about the situation had set me free.
The Divine used this method to guide me through forgiveness, because I was a very strong Christian at the time, that believed in an enemy (satan/devil) and because I believed we are these personalities/body suits, and it worked.
True Forgiveness
It hurts so much when we believe that someone we love and have had a relationship with, would intentionally hurt us.
Our Egotistical Programmed Mind (E.P.M.) plays the painful experience over and over in our mind, so that we are unable let it go and forgive.
However, when we can pause our E.P.M. for a moment, see past the body suit of the other person, and remember that most of us don’t even know what we Truly are, and we are not even aware that we have an ego. This will help us to realize that it’s really their ego that hurt our ego, and not their True Divine Self doing the hurting or our True Divine Self that is being hurt.
This is when we can separate them from their ego and our True Self from our ego and realize that no forgiveness is necessary.
We can’t be hurt if we know the truth, that we are really Divine Beings of light/love, in an E.P.M. body suit and unaware of it.
Two Choices
What I’m proposing to you is that we have two choices;
We can believe that we are these guilty E.P.M. Body Suits and continue to engage in conflict that essentially robs us of our peace, because it feels good to be right and hold a grudge.
Or we can look past our E.P.M. Body Suits and know that we are all Spiritual Beings one with The Divine, awakening to what we truly are, and give each other some grace as we are walking each other home.
It’s So Hard To Forgive
Our Egotistical Programmed Mind is focused on being special. It seeks specialness in either playing the victim of others or being superior to others. Un-forgiveness fulfills both of these identities, this is why it’s so hard to forgive.
Jesus says; in A Course In Miracles; “Let not your eyes be blinded by the veil of specialness that hides the face of Christ from him and you as well.”
When we choose un-forgiveness we are essentially choosing to follow our E.P.M. rather than The Divine, and stay blinded to what our spiritual brother’s/sister’s Truly are, and ultimately what we Truly are as well.
Since I’ve gone through a great deal of deconstruction of a False Identity and the reconstruction of our True Identity in Christ, when someone says or does something seemingly offensive, I simply remember this is not coming from their True Self, this is their Egotistical Programmed Mind, and I can let it go and love them unconditionally.
