The very first thing I teach my students is that they are very powerful Spiritual Beings. In order for them to believe this, I have to bring to their attention the power they possess to manifest. We unknowingly use these powers all the time.
For example; We often think about someone and then they call us, text us or we run into them at a store or restaurant. We have visions or premonitions before things happen and we say; “I knew that was going to happen.” We feel each others energy and can sense when something is wrong or someone is struggling. We can even know often times what someone is thinking. We are Supernatural Beings.
Awareness Is Key
If we had an awareness of these powers and intentionally used them, we would easily come to know our True Self. But since we were taught we are just a human with 5 senses or as religion taught us; that we are just sinners, we don’t know our True Self or the Source of our power.
There’s a verse in the Bible that has stuck with me for decades and that is Jeremiah 31:34: No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another: “Know the Lord,” because they will all know me from the least of them to the greatest.
The Problem Is: We Can Only Know The Divine by Experience, Rather Than Knowledge
Many people are completely unaware of their Supernatural Powers, and as a result they say they don’t believe in God. When we teach the children, that they have Supernatural Powers and then teach them how to use them, they will easily know that they are not human. No one will have to teach them about God or what they are in The Divine, they will know by experience.
Practicing The Miraculous
When I was in the Christian Charismatic Church, I was taught that I had some power as a child of God. Using this power and having great faith in God, I was able to perform many miracles. For example; While working in a Board and Care in my neighborhood, we had 6 ladies who lived there. The owner would often leave me to take care of them while she ran errands. On one of those occasions, I fed them lunch and then brought them into the family room to watch t.v.
One of the ladies named Diane who was the youngest of the bunch, being in her late 60’s, absolutely loved Elvis Presley and asked me to put his music on the t.v. Once the music was playing, she and I would dance around the room together, giving the other ladies some nice afternoon entertainment. As we were having a great time laughing and dancing, Odette a French lady who spent her life in bed or a wheel chair, unable to walk or even stand on her own, said; “I want to dance!” So without even considering that she couldn’t stand, I locked her wheelchair and held out my hands. She placed her hands in mine and easily stood-up and then she and I proceeded to dance around the room with Diane.
We were having the most amazing time, until my boss walked in and yelled; “Rhonda be careful!” That’s when I set Odette back in her chair, and with a huge smile on her face, she said; “I felt power coming from your hands!”
Knowing God has been easy for me because of all the supernatural experiences I’ve had, along with all the early morning conversations I had with the Divine Committee (Trinity) for decades. I’m thankful for Charismatic Christianity helping me to know I have power to do the miraculous. But it’s been my relationship with The Divine that has caused me to know my perfectly Divine True Self.
If you want to know your True Self, you need to start paying attention to your supernatural abilities, while also setting an intention to practice them. Then begin to understand what caused you to loose sight of your True Self. Which was all the painful/traumatic experiences you had, that created an Egotistical Programmed Mind; The Fearful Victim/Angry Protector that veiled your True Identity.
When you do the work to dissolve the Ego, your True Self begins to emerge. When I did this work that we call “Inner Healing,” and my True Self emerged, I could no longer stay in the Church, because even though they taught me that I have Supernatural Powers, they also taught me that I’m a sinful human and separate from The Source of our supernatural powers, they call God, I call the Divine.
The Pearl of Great price that’s spoken of in the Bible is our Identity of oneness in Christ. Christ is that power pulsating through our Being. We can call it energy or power, but what it truly is, is what we are Unconditional Love!
