Tribe defined by the Oxford dictionary is: A social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social economic, religious, or blood ties with a common culture and dialect typically having a recognized leader.
There has always been and always will be tribes (people we do life with because we have the same beliefs and interests).
The problem is that we often have a division in our heart and mind that removes love from human beings, when we view another tribe as wrong, misinformed and/or below ours!
I believe God is calling us to encourage and love regardless of our differences. It’s time to no longer put our tribe above love. But to desire to know and learn from one another. To disregard excuses as to why we can no longer connect. When we live with this mind set we will always find common ground, and grow in love and understanding. Ultimately seeing humanity as God does!
We need to always be aware of the fact that the tribe we are currently running with may not be the tribe we run with the rest of our lives. As we grow, learn and interact with other tribes, we many leave the one we’ve know for many years.
Maturity is knowing when and how to leave in a loving, honoring manner, while maintaining a healthy connection with tribes from our past.
This is a tribe I greatly admired and had a huge impact on my life. Almost all of them are running with new tribes. I miss them dearly, and love to see them connecting even though God’s taking all of them in different directions and using them in different ways to make it on earth as it is in heaven.
