It doesn’t matter if I pray, meditate, repeat affirmations or think positively. The only thing that I have found that heals the body, is to know that “By His (Jesus’) stripes we are healed” and I’m not even religious.
When my client/friend was diagnosed 5 years ago with stage 4 cancer, that phrase; “By His stripes she is healed,” is what I put my trust in and clung to. As she continued to decline, I cried out to God and said, I believe she’s healed, but it’s not our experience and that’s when Holy Spirit guided me to heal her with “Heart Surgery;” (healing the fear that caused the symptoms) and she was completely healed.
As I’m now healing my own body these words still ring true. The difference is, that at that time I had no idea what those words meant. I thought as a Christian, I was putting my faith and trust in Jesus to heal her. Kind of like I passed the buck!
Now that I’ve left the church almost 4 1/2 years ago, and have continually been awakening to my true identity, I’m finally learning/receiving the real meaning of that phrase. It’s not magical and it’s not passing the buck. What it is, is the guidance out of fear. As Jesus said in A Course In Miracles “all healing is the release from fear!”
This phrase that I clung to for a miracle, is linked to Jesus’ being quoted as saying in John 14:6 “I am the WAY, I am the TRUTH, and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by me.”
The WAY: Is the awakening from fear, to unconditional love. Jesus demonstrated this over and over with people or so called “sinners” that he interacted with.
The TRUTH: Is that we are not destructible bodies! Just like Jesus, we are spiritual beings of light/love. Jesus demonstrated this to be true with the resurrection and telling us “We are the light of the world!”
The LIFE: Is that we are eternal beings, one with the Divine/God, dwelling in heavenly places and having a dream. Jesus said in John 14:19-20 “Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
We all awaken at some point in this dream! For some it’s not until they are just about to transition out of their body. It takes an open mind and willingness to go on the journey of surrendering the ego or personal self that we have always identified with.
Giving up our personal identity can be terrifying. But once we do, we realize we were living from a limited belief system of fear that was tormenting us, and that our true identity is infinite. I believe we all have this burning desire in our sub-conscious mind, to seek liberation from the limited self. We know in our spiritual DNA that we are miraculous beings. My goal is to help as many people as I can, awaken as early as possible in their dream, to their true identity, so they can have a happy dream, instead of a fearful dream.
As Jesus said in A Course In Miracles; “The Holy Spirit is glad when you can learn from my experiences and be reawakened by them. That is their only purpose, and that is the only way in which I can be perceived as the way, the truth and the life!”
The secret to healing is to leave doubt and fear and enter faith and trust, confidently rest in certainty that we are healed. I believe this is the phrase that brings us to healing, because healing is wrapped up in knowing our true identity.
No longer does “come to God” mean go to church, read your Bible, say a prayer, serve and give. We are waking up to the truth that to come to God, means to know what we truly are, and to exchange our false identity with our true identity, along with knowing what the way-truth-life really means and to live it out.
