Yesterday I visited the library for the first time in several years, since my children are now grown. As I entered this big beautiful library on a hill over looking Temecula Valley, memories began to flood my mind of taking my children there numerous times, to check out books, videos, participate in their summer reading programs, or just for something to do!
It’s easy to cherish the vacations like when we visited Yosemite National Park, but our to day life of, things to do, places to go, people to see, causes precious moments to slip by unnoticed. If I could go back, I would try to cherish as many mundane moments as I could.
Megan will be 23 years old next month and Mitch is now 20 years old. You can be certain, I now cherish each moment I have with them and one day will do the same with my grandchildren.
So I implore you mom and dad, while your going through your busy day with your kids, stop for a moment or two, take it in, give them a hug and know that this day will some day be a memory. Make the most of it!
