Identity is the foundation of everything in this dream life and eternally!
As the Bible says we (spiritual beings) are seated in Heavenly places! As A Course In Miracles basically says; we (spiritual beings) fell asleep into the belief of darkness that; we can be a separate human being from God and each other, that we are born, we suffer and then we die. ACIM calls this a “tiny mad idea!” In fact there comes a time in all our dream lives, in which we are in so much pain that we come to the point of saying that “there’s got to be a better way!” At that point we have to choose; either to go deeper into following our egotistical mind of; coping, judgement, fear and anger, or following the Divine guidance of; surrender, humility, forgiveness and letting go of the ego and it’s tendencies.
To follow the Divine is to be willing to give up the ego’s self centered ways, do the inner healing of trauma and live in awareness of the ego’s tendencies, while choosing instead the Divine’s guidance.
As a result we begin to re-awaken to what we truly are as oneness with the Divine and everyone. Peace-Joy-Happiness becomes our new reality or happy dream.
The truth is; we are seemingly born into a dream where we are taught to believe we are a body with 5 senses, a sin nature and that we are separate from God and everyone. Which keeps us in a hellish state of mind and where we are constantly fearful and angry.
As ACIM says in The Healing of The Dream Chapter: ” No one believes there really was a time when he knew nothing of a body and could never have conceived this world as real. He would have seen at once that these ideas are one illusion, too ridiculous for anything but to be laughed away.”
When we awaken to what we truly are as a spiritual being, one with God and everyone, having a Divine nature, along with having supernatural abilities, we are in a heavenly state of mind and can forgive ourself for creating a dream of separation and illusions where nothing really happened, as a result we can also forgive other dream figures we see as guilty.
When I run into Christians and they say, “You look happy!” It’s because I’ve fled hell. I know I’m in a dream world. I’m not this body, I am free, I am as God created me as a spiritual being!” As ACIM says; “God does not forgive, because He has never condemned.” Therefore I’m free to no longer judge and condemn. I can focus on what people really are, rather than what they are doing, because much of what people are doing, is reacting from the ego, rather than responding from the Divine state of mind. This in turn sets me free, from trying to save people, or fix their problems, but rather guide them to restore their identity.
As The Circle of Atonement Organization says; ” Over and over A Course In Miracles emphasizes that God is not a God of vengeance, that God is not angry with us, that He knows nothing of punishment. God does not condemn; He never has. His heart remains eternally open to us all. To me specifically.” That is the greatest news, that is grace, that is complete freedom to be unapologetically me, and no longer having to worry about people pleasing.
It’s time for us to awaken to Jesus’ message as was stated in John 10:34 “You are Gods!”
