How Did I Get Here and Where’s The Exit?

This week I received a vision of a clear and simple way to teach identity. This chart and explanation may be what some people need to understand the journey of awakening.

The million dollar question is; “how did I get here?” If I can clearly explain how we got here, (“here” meaning in the darkness of our mind) and then show them the exit door, they can step onto the path of healing, if they are willing!

What Happened? How Did I Get Here?

Our True Self is: loving, compassionate, empathetic, kind, inclusive, patient, gentle, understanding, confident, brave, courageous, faithful, trust worthy, dependable, etc.

Only when we know our True Self and we live as our True Self, will we experience; peace, joy and happiness.

Then life happens! We have painful experiences recorded in our sub-conscious mind, which in turn causes us to take on a Fearful Victim Identity. This identity is filled with: doubt, worry, stress, anxiety, judgement, comparison, etc. these feelings create beliefs of being; insecure, lacking, not being good enough, self conscious, hopelessness and depression.

In order to survive, we also create an Angry Protector Identity which is; frustrated, bitter, resentful, retaliates, copes, and can tend to be somewhat narcissistic at times.

If the painful experiences are not healed, and instead repressed, the egotistical mind that is made up of the Fearful Victim/Angry Protector (False Self) tends to dominate. As we follow this guidance and/or mindset, we slowly lose sight of our True Self. As a result this mindset can lead us into a very dark place, in which we will either go deeper into coping and creating addictions, maybe think about taking our life or look for a better way.

What Do I Do, To Come Back To My True Self?

  1. We must first live in awareness of thoughts and feelings. As Lisa Natoli says “Watch your thoughts like a hawk!” Then when we are thrown out of peace, we need to pause and breathe, bringing our heart rate and adrenaline down, coming back to our True Self. Since the egotistical mind feeds off of adrenaline.
  2. Ask ourself; “what am I are feeling,” why am I feeling this and where is it coming from.” (It will always be coming from our False Self triggering fear.) Therefore it’s imperative that we ask ourself “what we are fearful of happening.” The final step is to tap into our Inner Guidance and ask “what the truth is about the situation.”

These steps will help us to realize that we are not the voice of the mind, we are the one (True Self) who hears its.

Heart Surgery

Heart Surgery is a little different from living in awareness of thoughts. It’s setting time aside every day to go deeper into the sub-conscious mind and heal those painful experiences. This is the undoing of the ego, so that your True Self can really emerge.

Get a journal/notebook and ask yourself if you have any of these and make a list of them:

Guilt-Shame-Regret

Doubt-Worries-Fears

Frustration-Bitterness-Anger-Resentment

Pick one and go through these steps, until you find peace.

  1. Write out the situation:
  2. Write out how it’s affecting you:
  3. Tap into your Inner Guidance and ask what is the fear this situation is triggering and what is the truth?
  4. With this truth, how will I move forward?

Important Tips

Here are some crucial tips for your awakening journey:

  1. You have to be 100% committed to this journey of awakening to what you Truly are. It will take great determination to watch your thoughts like a hawk and do something about them, along with healing trauma. Your brain is wired by the egotistical mind to just cope, instead of heal. It takes great tenacity to essentially re-wire the brain. But it can be done one step at a time. Don’t get discouraged.
  2. Know that the ego always speaks first! So when you ask yourself why you’re having these feelings, you will always get a very shallow answer. The ego is hoping to appease you, so you don’t go deeper for the real truth that will set you free. Therefore, after you get your answer, tap into yourself and see if that answer brings you true peace.
  3. Have an open mind! Don’t resist the process. Don’t give into thoughts that this doesn’t work.
  4. Set an intention to do the Heart Surgery Daily. Actually schedule a date with yourself, or it won’t get done. Something will always try to take the place of your healing time.
  5. Make a Vision Board of your True Healed Self: What you look like, the job/career you have, the places you travel to, your accomplishments, etc. and look at this board everyday as a reminder of the True healed you that is manifesting.
