How To Stay The Course…

Whether we are trying to get healthy, be better stewards of our money, more diligent about how we spend our time or working on strengthening our relationships etc.  We have a very subtle enemy that causes distractions and laziness to creep in and before we know it we’re off course.

This subtle  progression can be avoided and even illuminated with intentionality and consistency, but most of all discipline.

So how do we stay motivated and acquire that discipline?

  1. Keep your “why” always in front of you!  Never forget “why” you are working towards your goals!  What is it that moves you to tears that empowers you to push through!
  2. Plan your day out!  A check list are a really great tool to keep you on track.  Before you go to bed, write out all the things you need to accomplish the next day, people you need to call, see and love on!
  3. Think positive thoughts!  When those negative thoughts start to creep in to slow you down or cause a separation between you and another person.  Focus on the truth, and the gold in people.  Think about the things that inspire and encourage you about them.
  4. Listen to teachers, mentors and podcasts to keep you moving forward.
  5. In vision what your future will look like if you stay the course!

Staying on track can be easy if we have a plan and we are intentional and consistent!
