When I was an adulteress I lived a double life. I was a mom, wife, daycare provider by day and adulteress by night! I really did have a desire deep inside me to live a pure life, but the pull of sin was more powerful. I didn’t design this life of torment, I was born into it. It was my DNA handed down to me by my grandparents Adam and Eve.
I wish someone would have told me about this disease that was over taking me. I only realized it, when I came to my breaking point and wanted to die. That’s when I cried out to God to deliver me. I also didn’t realize, what his son did for me at the cross! He delivered me from destruction and my whole life he’d been drawing me to himself. All I needed to do was say yes to him and give him my shattered life. This is when he gave me a new DNA, his DNA.
My new DNA is Righteousness, Holiness and Purity. The very thing I’ve always desired. The flesh is dead, it has no more power over me! Now I have power to crush the one that tried to destroy me.
For all who are in this struggle, I want to tell you that you’re not the only one. Everyone, I mean everyone goes through it. Even the apostle Paul in the bible, shared his internal battle he had, before he was set free, he said “I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate!”
Can I just tell you, you’re not crazy, you just have the wrong DNA! This is not the life you were designed to have. Please don’t waste another minute, get pissed at the evil forces and claim the life of peace and power Jesus died for you to have. Get it settled in your heart, that you are no longer going to live for yourself, you’re going to exchange your DNA for his.
