Helping people out of the egotistical mind can be difficult because everyone identifies with the ego. They believe their thoughts, feelings and emotions are their own. This is because they’ve adopted the narrative of “I” in their mind. When I tell them those are their ego’s thoughts and not their own, they have no idea what I’m talking about. Explaining that the ego is really just memories of past experiences that created a Fearful Victim/Angry Protector mindset is helpful.
However I have found that an easier way to explain it, is to think of this life as a video game and this human that we think we are, is just like a holographic image or Avatar. When we enter this game of life, we enter into a state of forgetting of what we really are as a spiritual being of light/love/vibration. We take on an egotistical mind/false identity as a human, that blocks and veils our mind of Christ.
Being the observer or witness of the experiences our Avatar is having, is crucial in maintaining a peaceful life. If we don’t become the witness of the experiences, we will get lost in being the experiencer/Avatar, identify with the thoughts, feelings, emotions and we will lose the awareness of what we truly are as a spiritual being of light/love. Essentially we are giving up our power to control this Avatar and life and instead, become the victim of them.
We then set out on this journey playing the game of life. The purpose of the game is for us to know and experience what it means to be unconditional love. But also to awaken and return to our True Self, while guiding others that are ready and willing to do the same.
The journey of awakening is filled with many obstacles and experiences to show us, that if we follow our egotistical mind we will be led into darkness, filled with many pains and disappointments. After many attempts to over come the trials and temptations of life, depending on ourself, leaning on our own understanding, we realize the key is to let go of our own Avatar’s Ego Power and instead tap into the Devine power, that will show us the way out of the games deception. This is why Jesus said, “I am in the world but not of it” or in Ephesians it says “we are seated in heavenly places.”
This video game of life is very much a simulator, programmed to respond to our thoughts, desires and actions. Rather than seeing actions as right/wrong, good/bad, we need to see them as decisions made from the ego or Devine guidance. One leads to fear, pain and suffering for us and others. One leads us to peace, faith and love. Both provide lessons to be learned in order to find our way out of this egotistical mind game.
We are always being a hostage to the ego or host to God according to are awareness.
We – spiritual beings, think that all we possess for our Avatar to get through this game is of our own accord, but just like regular video games, all that we need has already been provider by the maker. There’s really no cause and effect, but rather responses to our decisions.
Keys To Winning
Having spent 53 years playing this game of life and realizing that the 1st key to winning the game is to know and commune with God, which can only be done by experiencing God. To experience God, we must be willing to humble ourselves and seek God’s guidance, which usually happens when we’ve come to the end of ourselves and desperately need help!
We open ourselves up to receiving God’s guidance, follow it, take whatever action is necessary, fully submitting our will, especially when we don’t feel like it or it doesn’t make sense.
This is how faith is created. Over and over we seek the guidance, follow it and experience amazing results. This is the ammunition we need to conquer our enemy the egotistical mind.
The 2nd key to winning the game is to know we have an ego, know how it was created by past experiences and trauma, heal the trauma so that we don’t need the ego anymore. Then live in awareness of the ego, seeing the thoughts it brings up as merely suggestions, while practicing self control of it.
Jesus said, “Those who lose their life will find it!”
In other words, when the ego dies or we stop wrapping up our identity in being this Avatar, we begin to really live!
None of this is known to those who refuse to let go of the egotistical human identity and it will all sound like crazy talk. In fact this blog will probably concern my Christian friends egos. But for those who have been following the Inner Guidance, deconstructing their beliefs and shedding their ego, this blog is for you. The peace that passes all understanding is up head, keep going, and be willing to live the life others don’t understand!
Simply start listening to yourself say “I” and ask yourself who is the “I” you’re True Spiritual Self of the False Ego Self? Once you start doing this, you are stepping onto the awareness path and tapping into freedom!
